I walked into the room and there she was, standing with arms wide open wearing the biggest smile I have ever seen on her face. I think it’s safe to say that Laura was beyond excited that this was the day she got to marry the man of her dreams!

While the girls were finishing hair and makeup I begin shooting her details including her precious grandmother’s ring. This girl, the queen of lists, had everything all together! Something new, something borrowed and something blue. She even brought a photograph from her grandmother’s wedding that was displayed in a gold frame. While the girls finished getting ready I popped upstairs to say hi to Noah who was equally excited to marry Laura!

These two.. I really can’t find words to describe their love. It’s something that every girl and boy dreams of finding someday. They looked at each other and shared special moments like there was no one else in the room. Their love and devotion to one another was shown through every smile, gaze, and tender touch they shared. I feel fully confident in saying that these two people were truly made for each other!

After a lovely ceremony and a tear or two of pure joy, it was off to take some portraits by the lake and then onto the PARTY! They opened the dance floor by having an anniversary dance, which happens to be one of my favorite moments during a wedding day and almost always chokes me up! Watching two people who have been married for 50+ years look into each other’s eyes like they just met yesterday and dance around the room is something that is so blissful I can’t help but tear up!

There was so much elation that surrounded these newlyweds it was incredible! I couldn’t be more honored to have photographed such a special day for the new Mr. and Mrs. Bateman!
