Windridge Estate at RedBarn20 Wedding – Lindsey & Mike

2020 decided to strike again and altered Lindsey and Mike’s wedding plans. But this time, the change was something no one expected to turn out as perfectly as it did! Just months before their wedding these two decided to still get married on their original wedding day, 9/12/2020. They had bout 20 people in attendance, 2 dogs, gorgeous views, and the best weather anyone could have asked for! Rather than having one day to celebrate their marriage, they choose to have two parties and Lindsey gets to wear her stunning dress not once, but twice! They’re reception is taking place on their one year anniversary with all of the guest who they originally wanted to be there! Such a fun idea!

When I arrived, Lindsey was glowing with excitement! Her smile couldn’t have been any bigger that it was finally her wedding day! She spent the morning with her girls and her super cute dog Clark while she got ready. Soon it was time for her to go see her soon to be hubby. As Lindsey and I walked over to get ready for her and Mike’s first look, I asked how she was feeling. Her response was that she no longer was nervous, Mike is first her best friend before her husband and she couldn’t wait to see him! I have to pause and highlight how incredibly special that is. Being best friends with your spouse is so important and should be a relationship goal for everyone!

When I told Mike he could turn around and see his soon to be wife all he could say was “Amazing!”. After they shared a few moments together Mike said he was speechless and didn’t even know what else today. How cute is he?! We walked throughout Windridge Estate at RedBarn 20 stopping for portraits along the way and taking in the views that this gorgeous venue displayed. After family photos and bridal party pictures, complete with dog photobombs from Clark, and Frannie, Lindsey’s mom’s dog, it was time to get them married! A livestream was set up so that anyone who was unable to be in attendance for their ceremony could still witness it from their homes. Thank goodness for technology, right?!

Lindsey and Mike had originally planned on a bigger wedding with tons of family and friends and were forced to alter their wedding plans because of the pandemic. What they quickly realized on their wedding day was that this change was actually perfect. Their celebration was intimate affair with the people who have been there for them to support their relationship since day one. The few people that they share their lives with on a daily basis were the individuals who were able to witness their vows to each other in person and raise a glass to their love. As much as these two wanted the big wedding they planned on, they saw, felt, and said how amazing this day turned out to be!

Before dinner was served, the new Mr. & Mrs. Selby got choked up as they thanked and toasted to everyone who was there. The people who have supported them throughout their lives made this day possible for them and they couldn’t have been more grateful to be surrounded by them on their special day!
