We all know that Florida is know for it’s glorious sunshine all year long. But did you know that it also offers a wide range of scenery for an elopement? If you’re searching for beaches, gardens, historical landmarks, or state and national parks, Florida has it all! Nestled in central Florida, not too far from Orlando is a gorgeous city, Apopka. When planning their elopement Ashley and Michael knew they wanted two different locations that were close together. They love nature and finding a natural spring was a must for their Apopka, Florida elopement!
First Look & Ceremony
Their first look was such a beautiful moment. Ashley and Michael shared this special moment in the forest of a local Florida state park. The location they selected for their ceremony is usually super busy, especially in the summer months. So we got there during sunrise so they had total privacy when sharing their vows. The morning mist settled on the crystal blue spring for a spectacular background for their ceremony.
After their private ceremony, it was time to cool off in the warm Florida spring. Ashley and Michael are spontaneous and live an adventurous life. It was perfect to take some time to relax in the water and soak in the fact that they just tied the knot. After all, it’s harder to untie a wet knot, right?!
Adventure Time During this Apopka, Florida Elopement
Once we made their marriage official we headed out for a full day of adventuring! Kayaking is one of many activities they love doing together. So it was necessary to add a little kayaking/canoeing to their elopement timeline. We hopped in the car and headed to our next location to rent a canoe and explore another beautiful Florida Spring.
There were other couples and families on the water, but Ashley and Micheal didn’t mind! They were so happy to incorporate something personal to them during their elopement. After taking their time, listening to their favorite band and exploring the water it was time for a bit of a snack break! Because they wanted to make their day as personalized to them as possible, we didn’t stop with elopement activities. These two wanted to have some of their favorite foods as well.
In additional to some celebratory champagne, they indulged in a sour candy platter and cheese board. Having sour candy on their road trips is a necessity so it only made sense to have it while they eloped as well!
Hiking
Now that Ashley and Michael had a bit of food, the last adventure on their timeline was a hike. Although there aren’t big mountains in Florida, there are stunning paths through their forests. The lush green tropical plants make it feel like you’re walking through a rainforest! We stopped along the hike for Bride and Groom portraits while taking in the scenery. This newly married couple is head over heels for each other even after being together for almost a whole decade!
Photographing their Florida elopement near Orlando was such a blast! Their day was personalized to their relationship and completely stress-free. We laughed and smiled throughout their wedding day, making it their version of the best day ever!
