Planning an elopement in the heart of the Adirondacks is the perfect way to celebrate love surrounded by nature’s beauty. Kenny and Brooke’s Saranac Lake elopement was a day filled with adventure, intimate moments, and breathtaking landscapes. As their Saranac Lake Elopement Photographer, I had the privilege of capturing every special moment and even officiating their ceremony. Here’s a look into their unforgettable fall elopement day.
Getting Ready at a Cozy Cabin with Lake Views
Kenny and Brooke began their special day in a cozy cabin overlooking the serene waters of Saranac Lake. The morning was filled with excitement as they got ready with a beautiful view of the lake in the background, setting the tone for a day filled with love and nature. The cabin’s warm, rustic charm perfectly complemented the natural beauty outside, making it the ideal spot to start their adventure.
Hiking to Their Mountain Wedding Ceremony
After soaking in the morning views, we packed up and drove to ADK Loj for a hike. Kenny and Brooke carried their wedding attire up the trail, adding a touch of adventure to their elopement. The hike led us to a secluded valley surrounded by towering Adirondack mountains, offering the perfect setting for a private ceremony. They changed into their wedding dress and suit, ready to exchange vows amidst the stunning fall foliage.
A Private Ceremony in the Heart of the Adirondacks
As an ordained Adirondack Elopement Photographer, I had the honor of performing Kenny and Brooke’s wedding ceremony. With mountains embracing them on all sides, they shared their vows in front of a breathtaking natural backdrop. The intimate setting made their ceremony even more special, and we were lucky to find a fellow hiker to serve as their witness, adding a sense of community to the moment.
Portraits and Memories Among the Mountains
After the ceremony, we spent time capturing portraits of Kenny and Brooke surrounded by the picturesque scenery of the Adirondacks. The fall colors, dramatic peaks, and peaceful valley created a dreamy backdrop for their photos. Each shot reflected their joy, love, and the adventurous spirit that defined their day. Fall elopements in the Adirondacks are some of my favorites because these mountains offer some stunning Fall foliage!
A Relaxed Lunch and Celebratory Toast
On the way back to their Airbnb, we made a pit stop for lunch which included chicken fingers and beer. A casual and delicious way to celebrate their newlywed status! It was a great moment for Kenny and Brooke to relax and soak in the joy of their elopement before continuing their day of celebrations.
A Romantic Dockside Dance and Rowboat Ride
Back at their Airbnb on Saranac Lake, Kenny and Brooke changed into a second set of wedding attire. They shared their first dance on a dock with the lake reflecting the warm colors of Autumn. The dockside dance was followed by a special rowboat ride! They had fixed up the boat together before their elopement, making it extra special. Brooke wanted to recreate some photos from a scene in The Notebook. So they took some time during the ride to reminisce over photos from the past years of their relationship.
A Dip in the Lake to End the Perfect Day
As the sun began to set, Kenny and Brooke ended their day by getting into the lake. Even if it was a little chilly, it perfectly captured the joy they felt on their elopement day. It was a perfect way to close out their Saranac Lake Elopement before I said my goodbyes.
