There are hundreds of ideas out there for gifts for those special ladies and guys that make up your wedding party. Just Google “wedding party gifts” and you’ll be inundated with options. It can be overwhelming. So how do you figure out what to do?
First, start with a budget. How much can you set aside for gifts for the bridesmaids and groomsmen; and are there others involved, such as flower girls and ring bearers? How many people make up your wedding party? Once these questions are answered, you should be able to come up with a per person budget.
Whether your budget is $25 per person or $125, there are numerous wonderful gifts available. I think what makes these gifts truly special is when they are personal and come from the heart. Personalization does not necessarily have to mean engraving names or initials, although that is certainly an option. I suggest really thinking about each member of your wedding party and his or her personality and preferences. After all, these are typically your closest friends and/or family members…the people you know best in the world. If, for example, you’ve decided on silk scarves for your bridesmaids, instead of getting the same color or pattern for all of them, choose colors and patterns based on what you know about each individual. Ties for the guys? Use the same approach.
Whatever gifts you and your fiancé decide on giving your wedding party, they will hopefully look at them in years to come and think fondly of you and your special day. Need some help getting started? Here are some great ideas from The Knot and Martha Stewart Weddings:
