A few years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Tori and Brandon at a wedding I shot in Oneonta, NY. They were the cutest couple who stayed on the dance floor all night! So when their wedding inquiry popped up in my inbox I was thrilled! The first order of business was to schedule their engagement session. Tori had the perfect Catskill location in mind. So, on a beautiful Spring day, we met up at Olana for their Hudson Valley engagement session!

Year ago, Tori used to give tours around this historic site which is located on the top of a Catskill mountain! The views around this stunning location were breathtaking and perfect for personalized couples photos. We planned their engagement shoot to start a little bit before sunset to get that beautiful golden hour glow.

Not only were the miles of mountain views a perfect background but certain parts of Olana fit their wedding theme. They’re planning a garden party so the blooming gardens around this site made their engagement session even more special.

Tori and Brandon enjoy watching tv together, exploring the great outdoors and love playing games like Dungeons and Dragons. Since I try to customize all of my couple’s engagement photos, I knew we had to include Dungeons and Dragons somehow. They loved this idea not only did they bring the game to their shoot but Tori had custom dice made!

This beautiful engaged couple were so much fun! They laughed with each other the whole time like they were in the honeymoon phase of their relationship. Because they were up for anything, we walked all over Olana Historic Site to get plenty of variety. We also had a great mix of nature views and gorgeous architecture. Their Hudson Valley Engagement Session was so much fun!
