Finding the person you want to spend the rest of your life with is one of the best experience in the world. Which is exactly how Rohit felt when he met Ananya. They were planning a vacation to Lake George in September and Rohit knew he wanted to propose at a place with a beautiful view. He already had a location in mind so just had to finalize the details for his Lake George proposal! Which he wanted to take place closer to sunset at Highland Castle in Bolton Landing, NY.

Rohit already reserved time at Highland Castle for his proposal and hired someone to set up flowers and photos! Once everything was set, I tucked away to be as hidden as possible when he arrived with his future fiancée. A text message came through to let me know he had arrived and it was time!

The Proposal

After Rohit descended the stairs and rounded the corner, Ananya saw the display. She turned toward Rohit who was next to her on one knee and her hands covered her face in shock! Once she said yes, Rohit had another surprise waiting for her. He recorded himself singing a song for them to listen to during this special moment.

We then spent time taking photos around the castle with a jaw dropping view of Lake George in the background. Having photos of this once in a lifetime event is so special! After beautiful proposal photos were taken then went inside the castle to share a toast of champagne. The last surprise Rohit had was custom sweatshirts for him and Ananya. Their proposal date was written on the sweatshirt as well as the word “engaged” so they could have a cozy evening!

In order to really see Lake George in the background of their engagement photos, we went to a local park right on the water. We took our time walking around the park to find beautiful spots for their proposal pictures. Since the moment she said “Yes!”, Rohit and Ananya were all smiles! You can feel the laughter and see the love during their Lake George Proposal.
