Getting Ready at Whispering Pines in Jay, NY

The day began at Whispering Pines Airbnb in Jay, NY—a cozy mountain getaway tucked into the Adirondacks. This space was perfect for a relaxed morning with family. While everyone got ready, the house buzzed with excitement.

Before their own first look, Reilly shared a tender first look with her dad. It was emotional, sweet, and one of those moments you can feel the love in the air. Soon after, Mike and Reilly had their own first look. The way they lit up when they saw each other was pure magic—they are so wildly in love and couldn’t stop smiling.

Adventure on Whiteface Mountain during a Lake Placid Elopement in the Adirondacks

After getting ready, we drove up Whiteface Mountain, one of the most iconic spots for a Lake Placid elopement in the Adirondacks. With panoramic views of the High Peaks and Lake Placid, it was the perfect backdrop for their portraits and a quiet adventure together before the ceremony.

Mike and Reilly held hands, laughed, and soaked in the mountain air. They didn’t let anything bother them, staying fully present and enjoying every second. Their love shined against the dramatic mountain views, a reminder of why couples choose the Adirondacks for such meaningful celebrations.

Intimate Ceremony Back at Whispering Pines

Back at their Airbnb, the backyard overlooked a sweeping mountain range—an incredible spot for their intimate ceremony. With their closest family gathered, Mike and Reilly exchanged heartfelt vows. The mountains stood tall behind them, almost like nature itself was bearing witness to their promises.

After the ceremony, we took family portraits filled with laughter and happy tears. It was so special for them to include their parents and siblings in such an intimate way.

Appetizers, Champagne, and Sunset

Following portraits, everyone enjoyed appetizers prepared by Take Home Cheffy, a fantastic local catering company in Lake Placid. As the sun dipped lower, we snuck away for golden-hour photos, capturing the warm light wrapping around the mountains.

Dinner was a cozy, family-style celebration back at Whispering Pines. With champagne toasts and heartfelt words, the evening was filled with joy. Mike and Reilly radiated happiness, clearly soaking in every moment with the people they love most.

A Stress-Free Adirondack Elopement

Mike and Reilly wanted their day to feel relaxing and meaningful, and it truly was. They didn’t worry about timelines or expectations—they just focused on each other and being present with their families. Their graciousness and joy set the tone for the entire celebration.

Later this fall, they’ll host a larger gathering with extended family and friends at a special place that means so much to them. But their Lake Placid elopement in the Adirondacks gave them exactly what they wanted—a stress-free, love-filled day surrounded by their closest loved ones in one of the most beautiful places in New York.
