Have you ever met someone and instantly thought “Where have you been all of my life? Let’s be best friends!”? That pretty much describes how I felt when I met Monica and Rick on June 9th, 2018. We (my incredible assistant/second shooter/best friend Nicole Murphy) pulled up to Gilbertsville Farmhouse and as we hopped out of the car Rick walked by and said “you must be the Nicole’s!”. A little side note, Monica and Rick live in California so until their wedding day we hadn’t had the opportunity to meet in person. After walking through the venue we headed to the ladies and the moment we walked in the door Monica greeted us with a lot of excitement and a huge smile!
I knew this wedding was going to be one for the books and I was not wrong about that at all! It was held at one of my favorite weddings venues and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect! I remember Monica saying that one of the most important things on her wedding day were the people who were there celebrating it with her and her new husband. So important that I had to climb the tallest ladder that I have EVER SEEN to get a huge group photo of the two of them with all of their guests! I can’t forget to mention their kitty… because they live on the other side of the country their poor cat couldn’t make their wedding but Monica made cardboard cutouts of her fur baby so that she could still be with them on their big day!
I do have a small confession/some what embarrassing moment (or two) from this day. Monica and Rick sometimes call each other Stu, an interesting nickname I thought, until later I learned it was short for “stupid”. In my defense they called each other this a lot throughout the day so I can’t be blamed for calling Rick “Stu” a few time by complete accident… Talk about palm to the face moment. Sorry Rick!!
When it was party time, Rick kicked off the dancing with his killer moves… I’m pretty sure everyone was in awe! Nicole and I may have let out a move or two as we circled around the dance floor when Bruno Mars came on. We couldn’t help it, it’s BRUNO! The rest of the evening was filled with lots of dancing, laughter, love and s’mores by the huge campfire!
A huge congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Brown. I admire your relationship so much and cannot wait until the day you move back to Central New York!!
*Don’t forget to leave some love for the new Mr. and Mrs. in the comment section at the bottom!

Absolutely beautiful!!! True- you did had gorgeous subjects and fantastic scenery .;) .. but still, fantastic photography
You truly captured the love they have for each other. Which to me is the most important thing. Their love is the reason everyone is together there for that moment!
