“How do you feel?” I asked Abbey, a red headed beauty that smiled from cheek to cheek as she took one last glance in the mirror. “I’m just so excited!!” she responded. As I photographed her while she got ready along with some of her best friends and relatives you could feel the excitement she emitted, in every inch of my bones you could feel it! Months of preparation had lead to this day and the moments held within it. Abbey’s mother created her bouquet which quite honestly was one of the most beautiful bouquets I had ever seen, maybe because it was so unique or maybe because it reminded me so vividly of a floral arrangement my grandmother had in her home. The smell of the eucalyptus and the deep wine red along with forest green brought me right back to my childhood! Before it was time to see her soon-to-be husband she wanted to share a special moment with her father. After all, he was the one passing off the touch to Jordan. What a special moment it was!! His reaction was priceless, tear jerking, and heart warming.
It was off to the ceremony space which over looked the valley and has the most stunning view of the mountain range. This is by far one of my favorite places for ceremonies and the looks on each guests face as they reached the top of the hill emulated the view! As Abbey approached the end of the aisle all the guests look at her with her father but I looked at Jordan. I have goose bumps remembering this moment! They both had tear of pure joy and excitement and let out a giggle or two as they reached each other at the alter. Talk about not a dry eye in the place!
We toured Gilbertsville Farmhouse exploring different areas for portraits and every time I have the pleasure of shooting at this venue I fall even more in love with its beauty and magic! Abbey and Jordan must have had lots of practice or were naturals during their portrait time because they crushed it!! Their love for one another beamed through them the entire day with genuine smiles, big heart eyes, and contagious laughter! Blessed and honored doesn’t begin to describe how I feel about creating these memories for them.
Congratulations Abbey & Jordan!! Don’t forget to leave some love for them in the comment section at the bottom!
