Danielle & Jon – Saratoga National Wedding

What earlier in the week looked like rain turned out to be the most perfect day you can imagine! I prayed and crossed my fingers that the weather would hold out to kick off my first wedding of the season out in Saratoga Springs at Saratoga National Golf Course. This venue is one of my favorites and when Danielle and Jon told me they were getting married here and already booked NonStop Music with DJ VinnyVin I couldn’t contain my excitement!

Danielle was all smiles when I walked in to begin getting ready photos. Curlers in in her hair, sporting a gorgeous floral monogramed robe about to get her make up done, she was already a vision! She had her best friends surrounding her along with her mom and mother in law to get the morning festivities underway. After some bubbly, laughter, and the final touches of getting ready to see her future husband we hopped in the car to Saratoga National.

Jon was beyond ready to see his soon to be wife and was super nervous when I met up with him. We walked along a beautiful path where I had him wait with my second shooter, Nicole, so I could get Danielle for their first look. You guys, his reaction was THE BEST! He turned around and his jaw dropped at the first sight of her. He walked around her taking every ounce of gorgeousness his fiancé emitted! I barely had to tell them what to do next because their love for each other was like fireworks.

We spend the next few hours creating fabulous portraits of them, their bridal party and family. Soon it was time for them to say their vows and lock it in forever! The ceremony was beautiful and surprise prayer from Danielle’s grandmother, who passed away earlier this year, was reviled as tears rolled down her face. What a special moment this was for everyone in attendance. Once they sealed it with a kiss it was off to party!

I feel the need to take a moment and talk about their DJ, Vinny from NonStop Music. I’ve worked with Vinny many times before and he truly is one of the best in the Albany/Saratoga area. From the start of introductions throughout the rest of the night, the dance floor was always packed and his mc style and music is off the charts! So with this being said you know that it was one heck of a party to celebrate the newlyweds, Mr. & Mrs. Govel!
