Emily & Josh – Cornerstone at W&W Nursery

You know those people who when you meet for the first time you know that they’re your kind of people? That’s exactly how I felt when I first met Josh and Emily! That feeling grew even more when Emily and some of her family attended a bridal show where I was one of the vendors. They were all so nice and I could have chatted with them all day! Emily’s mom encouraged them to have some engagement portraits taken and when her mom called me to order some prints from their shoot, we spoke on the phone like we’ve known each other forever.

When it came time for the big day, all of the girls were so welcoming and each one so excited to be there and celebrate these two on their wedding day. The Autumn foliage was in full bloom which made the backdrop for their portraits incredible!! Once everyone was ready to go and Josh and Emily were set to say their vows, we traveled from Tioga Downs to Cornerstone at W&W Nursery. You guys, this place is STUNNING!! I had never been before but saw a few photos online and thought it was pretty but when I actually saw it in person it was like a fairytale! The grounds were immaculate, the staff was fantastic and at night the venue lit up like something you can only picture in a dream.

Josh and Emily were absolute champs throughout their portraits while sipping on a White Claw and gazing at each other with pure happiness! After some fun introductions as the NEW Mr. & Mrs. they shared a beautiful first dance. You can tell just at peace they were with each other as they spin around the dance floor while their mother’s look gapingly upon their grown up babies! A special song was played on a guitar by one of their guests for Emily and her father’s dance and it was so sweet! As the October night air moved in they had a spot within their reception for their guests to take a blanket to keep warm. How thoughtful is that?! Once it was time to party, their guests did not disappoint with their moves! Dustin, with United Sound, packed the dance floor and even got a few couples who had been together a very long time to rise from their seats and boogie a little to the tunes! WHAT A DAY!!

After I was said my goodbyes to Emily and Josh I found Emily’s mom who thanked me with a huge hug! Then she gave me some cookies, a chocolate or two and a hug bucket of homemade Carmel popcorn. Have I said yet that these are my kind of people?! A few of those cookies didn’t make it out of the parking lot and the rest were inhaled the next morning for breakfast! Being a part of this day was the absolute best!!

Congratulations Emily and Josh!!
