Shout out to Downtown Saratoga Springs for bringing these two together! Mariah and Brian have been dating for about 5 years and are finally getting married in 2022! There was no questions on where their engagement pictures were going to take place. Saratoga Springs is a very special location because they met at a bar half a decade ago! However, as much as they love the downtown city vibe, a little nature was also a must. To start off their shoot, we began at the beautiful Congress Park! We originally were going to start at 5:30pm but rain was imminent. Thanks to all the tropical storms that swept across America. Rather than an evening shoot, we pushed it up to 1pm! Which ended up being absolutely perfect!!

Mariah was texting with me that morning and told me that she was super nervous. Her and Brian are “so awkward” in front of a camera…. I beg to differ!! Half way through their engagement shoot, Brian mentioned that he isn’t a big picture person. I was in shock when he said this because he didn’t seem uncomfortable whatsoever! These two really should be in a magazine because they’re naturals. After a while of taking all the pretty photos I showed them a little preview from the back of my camera. Instant obsession took place and Mariah was much more at ease!!

From Congress Park we walked up and down Broadway to get the city vibe they were hoping for. There are so many places throughout this Downtown Saratoga strip for photos! Track season had just ended so it wasn’t nearly as busy as it had been all Summer, thank goodness! Mariah and Brian were up for pretty much anything so we played around a bit which was so much fun! No wasn’t in these love birds vocabulary. They happily ran, spun and danced in front of total strangers and acted like teenagers during the honeymoon phase!

One thing I’m absolutely certain of is that their wedding is going to be a party!! I can tell that these two know how to have fun and their friends sound like a blast! I’m thrilled that we are able to incorporate a special place and that their love shines throughout these photos! Cannot wait for their wedding next year!
