She was 19 and he was 25 and they were both Red Dragons at SUNY Oneonta! Which also happened to be where Mary Anne and Ethan’s love story began. Through mutual friends and an interest in each other they came together as one. The Red Jug may have also had a little something to do with it. So much so that some merch from that Oneonta bar made an appearance in their engagement photos at Washington Park!
After needing to reschedule not once, but twice, we finally made it happen! Mary Anne and Ethan also brought along one of their best friends, Meagan to join the fun. This was extra special for me because I photographed Meagan and Greg’s engagement photos. Plus I’m shooting their wedding later this year! Meagan was the one who recommended me to Mary Anne and Ethan and I’m so glad she did!
Ethan isn’t a big picture taking kind of a guy so I had my work cut out for me. Or so they thought! I can confidently say that that Ethan said that it “wasn’t bad” and I’ll take that as a win! I think it made things a little better knowing that he could wear one of his favorite t-shirts from his college days!
Hopefully we can make a pit stop at The Red Jug on their wedding day! I absolutely LOVE when couples incorporate things or places that are meaningful to them in their engagement pictures. It makes the whole experience even more special and fun!
We’re just under a year out from their wedding day! Which is taking place back in Oneonta where it all began and I cannot wait! It’s a bonus that I get to see them again this year at Meagan and Greg’s wedding as one of their last wedding experiences before they’re husband and wife!
