Saratoga National Wedding

A wedding at Saratoga National is always gorgeous! Stephanie and Patrick made it even more stunning and so much fun! Because they live in Hawaii, we didn’t get the chance to meet before their wedding day. Regardless of not knowing each other well, the moment Stephanie said “Hi”, we were golden! Stephanie and Patrick have such fun personalities are so stinking cute together, I just can’t stand it!

This bride and groom met through none other than… a dating app! Pat was stationed in Hawaii and Stephanie moved there for work. Thanks to Bumble and fate, they met and instantly had a connection. About 5 months later, Pat asked Stephanie to marry him in a grand way! Complete with rose petals, a sticky note and “Will you marry me?” written out on a sidewalk! Talk about a spectacular proposal!!

The Wedding

It was very apparent that family is huge for these two. Their bridal party included their siblings and Stephanie’s “Maid of Honor” was actually her brother. Whom was given the unique title of “Man of Honor”! There were so many special reunions throughout their wedding due to them living so far away. I don’t recall ever seeing this before but they had only their parents join them at their head table. Patrick and Stephanie’s decision to do this is very telling of their love for their families! They spent way more time focusing on the people they spent their day with than a million little details and it was super special!

I’ve photographed over 100 weddings and have yet to see anything like what Stephanie and Pat did for their first dance. My cheeks were aching after they finished their dance because of just how spectacular it was! First of all, they had TWO songs. Both were choreographed, one a little slower and one more fast paced. As the second song came on, Pat had to take off his suit jacket so he could really bust a move with his wife!! 10 our of 10 for their first dance for sure!!

With a few prayers that he wouldn’t get deployed before their wedding, they dove head first into planning mode. With the help of their New York family and the incredible Katie from Daisy & Lola Events, they made their wedding day dreams come true!

The laughter and love that exudes from each of them is truly special. We smiled and laughed throughout their wedding at Saratoga National after they tied the knot at Christ the King Church in Albany, NY. Congratulations to the newlyweds, Mr. & Mrs. Giannico!
