There is something really quite amazing when I get to whiteness my past couples start a family! To be next to them on their wedding day and seeing their love for one another is an absolute blessing. But then seeing their love overflow so much that they have to share it with another human is even more magical!
Way back in 2018, Abbey and Jordan promised the world to each other at one of my favorite venues, Gilbertsville Farmhouse! (Shout out to Dan & Mia for this incredible connection in 2017!) This is one wedding I will NEVER forget! The way these two interacted all day long and the love they share is something so many people search their whole lives for. I was reminded of this very clearly during their maternity session!
Whenever I get to see any of my couples after they get married is always a treat! Especially when it’s for another photo session! When Abbey reached out to schedule her maternity session I was over the moon excited. They hopped in the car and drove all the way from Connecticut up to Clifton Park, NY just to get their maternity photos done.
As we began shooting, on a wicked hot and humid May evening, I was immediately transported back to their wedding day! Abbey and Jordan are such goofballs when they are around each other! But they also are just so deeply in love with one another. If anyone reading this has had the pleasure of ever being around them, you know exactly what I am talking about!
This girl is almost 8 months pregnant and she hops out of the car in high wedges looking like a million bucks! The pregnancy glow was at an all time high for sure!! We found a spot with beautiful tall grassy weeds and they had no problem jumping into the thick of it with me. Which was amazing because I’m kind of obsessed with their maternity photos! I mean, a glowing momma-to-be, her extremely sweet husband, beautiful golden hour light, and a tall grassy field… does it actually get any better?!
I loved working with them again because they pretty much knew what to do before I even said anything! This is also a suburb example of why having an engagement session with the same photographer before your wedding day is a really good idea! They thought back to their wedding day during portrait time and nailed it!
Baby Hernandez is one lucky kiddo to have Abbey and Jordan as their parents!
