What a perfect fall day for a wedding! The leaves swirled around my car as I drove up the quiet dirt roads in Pennsylvania to where Katherine and her bridesmaids were getting ready in her childhood home. They laughed and reminisced all while drinking from the most interesting cups I’d ever seen! They were golden pineapples…. and they were amazing!
They helped each other get dressed, sprayed perfume and practiced their twirls all while Katherine sat with her adorable dog Goose and soaked in every second of her wedding day.
Then it was her turn.
You know the phrase, “It takes a village to raise a child.”? Well it took all of her bridesmaids and her mother to get her in her dress and when they were done she was a vision! We had some serious Cinderella vibes all day!
Her father walked into the loft and saw his little girl all grown up and in the most beautiful white dress.
Then we made our way to a beautiful white church down the road. When Katherine was about to take her first step toward her future husband, the whole church stood to see her beauty. Well, Eric wasn’t letting that stop him from seeing his stunning bride. He hopped up a couple of steps higher on the altar to ensure that he could see her above the crowd.
After the ceremony it was portrait time, my favorite! The property was stunning and I couldn’t keep up with my brain as ideas for pictures just flooded in. Between antique Buicks, gorgeous landscapes and a fairytale farmhouse, I was overwhelmed with backgrounds for all of these memories. Good thing Katherine likes her picture taken because she was up for all of it… and let me tell you, that girl… can twirl!
Next we made our way to Binghamton for their reception at the Binghamton Club. I ran into Gabby, from Gabriella’s cakes, while she set up the cake and some fall festive cookies! Katherine choose some of the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen for her bouquets and centerpieces. They were imported from all over including Hawaii, so you can imagine how stunning they were.
Throughout the reception Katherine and Eric shared dances with some very special people. Shortly after dinner ended a dessert room opened up which was FILLED with all types of cookies, candy apples and an indoor s’mores bar! I wish I could have sealed the smell of all these goodies in a jar.
To finish the night a local band, Wreckless Marci, played and had their guests dancing and singing until the reception ended. What a day! Congratulations Katherine and Eric!!
Don’t forget to leave some love for the newlyweds in the comments at the bottom!
