A Picture from the Past – Vol. 2

When my sister and I were younger my parents always took us to JC Penny or Sears to get our annual pictures taken. I can’t help but smile as I look through these pictures, especially this one. My big sister, Katie, from the day I was born, had always had my back. Unless of course one of us was in trouble and tried blaming the other one… no one likes time out. She always is there to chat if needed, offer up advice, and lets me stay with her whenever I need/want.

We were rocking some super stylish hair cuts back then. Our bangs were fierce! Her head was filled with soft curly locks while mine stood straight up in the air in every direction. I’m quite certain my parents used some water and hairspray just to tame that madness for this photograph. One thing I noticed is that in almost all of these photographs we aren’t looking at the camera… but whatever was next to it must have been hilarious! I’m also happy to say that the pattern on this onesie I was wearing is now coming back in style. Hello trend setter!

Written on the back of this thick photo paper trimmed to an 8×10 is our names as well as our age. I was 15 months and Katie was 2 years and 10 months old. I don’t necessarily remember a lot from this young age. I do know however, that this may have been one of the few times when my sister and I didn’t have matching outfits on. The cherries dangling off of Katie’s denim blouse are my favorite!

This is a picture from the past!
