The holiday season is long gone until the end of this year but I couldn’t resist sharing this Christmas photo. It’s in the running to be one of my favorite photos from my childhood. The dress I wore was black velvet on the top with a shimmery grey skirt that twirled with perfection. The scarf that came with it was the best part! If I’m being completely honest I remember feeling like a million bucks. We went to my grandma’s house for Christmas dinner and to celebrate with my mom’s side of the family on Christmas day. This was the year my sister and I receive our first boom boxes! Yep, those big devices with large round speakers equip with a cd player. We were in love and up until a few years ago mine still worked!
Pardon me while I brag for a second but aren’t we just so darn cute! I mean those oval glasses and curls on each side of our faces, we were rocking our Christmas outfits! If I remember correctly my sister and I may have fought over which outfit we wanted to wear… we both loved the one I ended up getting. Pretty sure it was the scarf that we both were in love with at such a young age. I hadn’t yet hit the age of beginning to lose my baby teeth but it’s ever apparent that my sister was right tin the thick of it! She very well may have asked for her two front teeth for Christmas.
I believe I was in first grade and Katie was in third, I was 6 and she was 8. Ahh the glory days when we fought over clothes… oh wait we did that a few weeks ago. Isn’t it funny how we match as children and hate it and then as adults we love it? “Funny the way it is when you think about it.” (Yes that was a Dave Matthews quote).
This is A Picture from the Past!
