Union College Engagement – Schenectady, NY

Somehow we ended up at Union College in Schenectady, New York for Haley and Brandon‘s engagement session. I say “somehow we ended up there” because they live in Texas, I live in Albany, NY and their families live in Rochester, NY. When I say they went on a total journey just to get their engagement pictures done and I am not exaggerating in any way. They spent the morning in Rochester with their family, then drove all the way down to Binghamton for their tasting. Then hopped back in the car to go to Schenectady to stand out in the cold with me for their engagement session. Finishing off their day with one last trek back to Rochester. I’m super impressed that they were able to configure all of these things in one day and make everything work flawlessly!

We were supposed to do their engagement session over the summer but mother nature had different ideas for us so rather than summer engagement photos they decided they wanted to opt for a winter theme instead. Well it turns out that although it was cold, there was unfortunately no snow for them. Regardless, these two braved the chilly temperatures of Upstate New York in the winter! Seeing how it was in the 80’s back where they live, this 40 degree day was a bit of a change.

Haley and Brandon have been together for about five years now. And although they knew each other before, it was orchestra that really brought the two of them together. Since they’ve been together they’ve lived in multiple different states and have begun designing a life they love to live together. They were seriously the cutest and super easy going! In July, they’ll be married at the Treman Center near Ithaca, NY! Haley made a trip down to Kleinfeld’s in NYC to go dress shopping a few months ago and said YES to her dress! I cannot wait to see which gown she chose!

For now, here are some of my favorite images form their engagement session!
