A Lake George intimate wedding in the fall is always going to be beautiful! Shannon, an Irish Goddess, and Matt, a fellow Polish man, opted for an intimate wedding with the people they hold closest to their hearts. These two are such warm, friendly, bright lights in this world! It’s amazing that they were able to narrow their guest list down to less than 50 people.
Without yet meeting them in person, I had been looking forward to documenting their wedding since our first phone call. I knew they were totally my people when we had their engagement session. Shannon and Matt are pretty laid back, thank goodness! When we tried to take photos on top of a mountain in Lake Placid during their engagement session but when we got to the top we were in a giant cloud… All they said was “well, at least we tried”!
The Ceremony
Fast forward a few months to their wedding day and the laid back vibes continued! Corn hole was played all morning long by Matt and the groomsmen. While Shannon and the bridesmaids finished getting ready. Shannon gushed over each one of her bridesmaids as they came out one by one after putting their dresses on! Talk about hype bride!!
Matt and Shannon shared their first look lakeside with a gorgeous view of Lake George! Matt’s jaw dropped when he saw his bride for the first time and all Shannon could do was smile right back at him! There may have been a few tears shed as well which is always a beautiful moment to witness.
After loads of photos, you’re a trooper Matt, it’s was time to get this bride and groom married! Saying they vows near the water was a must for them. The view of Lake George made the most stunning background for their intimate wedding ceremony!
The rest of their wedding day was spent celebrating with about 40 of their closest friends and family. Small weddings like theirs are always my favorite! I couldn’t have asked for a better couple and intimate wedding celebration in Lake George to finish out my wedding season!
