The Venue – Windham Manor

A Windham Manor Wedding was exactly what Serena and Patrick were hoping for. A weekend long celebration with their closest family and friends. Because one day just wasn’t enough for decade long love story! This wedding venue was absolutely stunning. Tucked away in the mountains of Upstate New York with beautiful scenery. Plus an incredible staff that made their stay extra special! If you’re looking for a wedding venue, Windham Manor should be on your list to visit!

The Couple

When you meet someone as a teenager, you never know where it could lead. Sometimes it’s nothing. Other times you find a friend for life. But on very rare occasions, you meet the person you’ll end up spending the rest of your life with. That was the case for Patrick and Serena. The moment Patrick met Serena for the first time he knew he would marry this girl someday. Without a shadow of a doubt, he knew that not only did he find his best friend but the woman he would spend the rest of his life with. Almost Serena and didn’t necessarily have these feelings the moment they met I think she maybe new that she had found a friend for life in Patrick.

They spent the next decade growing together as individuals and a couple. Patrick and Serena went through some of life’s hardships and major celebratory events. In additional to every day moments, forehead kisses, and growing their family with four-legged for fur babies. Listening to the speeches, it was clear that they all knew Patrick was in love with Serena well before she knew it. Not only are they now husband and wife but they’re also each other’s very best friend. Back about a year ago when I photographed their proposal, I remember witnessing the way they looked at each other. It’s one of those looks people dream about. The glance you see in movies and look that some of us in our own relationships have experienced. It’s a look of pure admiration, devotion, and love and it’s something so very apparent within their relationship.

The Wedding

This Bride and Groom celebrated their love by getting married and celebrating with everyone they hold close in our hearts. Windham Manor, in Windham, New York, allowed them to celebrate all weekend long! There were so many gorgeous spots for photos around the property. But they had a few requests including the car Patrick bought when he was 16 years old. It’s the one car they have shared a decade’s worth of memories in so I would say, it’s pretty darn special.

Their ceremony was in the enchanted forest. A beautiful spot for nuptials next to a gentle, soothing stream, surrounded by nature in all of its glory. As I was documenting their ceremony, I felt like I was inside of a movie. It was such a magical moment, the setting, the couple and the vows they hand wrote filled with love and promises.

A wedding reception fill with dancing and laughter followed as they were announced as Husband and Wife! It was in surprise that Patrick and Serena opted for a choreographed first dance. (That they executed flawlessly by the way). You could tell they had so much fun leaning it and performing it in front of all their guests! Being a part of their wedding day and photographing all of their precious moments was such a gift. These two are just the best and I couldn’t be more excited for them!
