How to Elope in the Adirondacks in the Fall

As an Adirondack elopement photographer, I’ve witnessed countless couples exchange vows amidst the breathtaking fall scenery of the Adirondacks. If you’re wondering how to elope in the Adirondacks in the fall, I’ll tell you all about it in this blog!

Fall Elopement in the Adirondacks

Fall is definitely one of the best times to elope in the Adirondacks! Typically, the weather from September until mid-October is still warm. However, I always recommend preparing for cooler temperatures and unpredictable weather conditions. You want to bring cozy layers, especially in the mornings and evenings and at higher elevations. It can definitely get chilly in the mountains.

After Labor Day, the crowds are starting to fizzle out, so it will be easier to get a cozy spot to stay, and you might even save some money, too! Though some places shut down after the holiday, double-check what’s open when you’re planning to come by. Keep in mind that during peak foliage, it can get a little bit busier because all adventure lovers want to take in those beautiful fall-colored views.
